Immersed in the hills of Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G., Cantinæ Clara C’ managed to build a strong, elegant and recognizable identity in the Prosecco world thanks to the women who founded it and guide it to the present day. Starting with Clara Carpenè, who inherited the legacy of her Family in the world and the industry of Prosecco: she is the great grand-daughter of Antonio Carpenè Sr, the chemist who started studying the Prosecco grape to make sparkling wines and started the route to the Italian method. And she is the daughter of Antonio Carpenè Jr, the œnologist who developed the Italian method for the production of Prosecco sparklers with secondary fermentation in stainless steel tanks and first started the production of Prosecco Spumante.

Prosecco: the Italian sparkler
that conquered the world.

Prosecco is the most famous Italian sparkling wine in the world: its history and its success are closely linked to Clara Carpenè’s family. Her great-grandfather Antonio Carpenè the 1st started studying the Prosecco grape to make a sparkling wine around 1850s. Then her father Antonio Carpenè II “invented” in the 50’s of last century the modern Italian method for the production of Prosecco sparklers with secondary tank fermentation.
Today Prosecco takes on different designations based on its territorial origin, a protocol designed to safeguard its authenticity. Clara C’ has created a collection for each designation: Fiori di Valdobbiadene for the Prosecco D.O.C.G. labels, produced exclusively in the 15 municipalities nested on the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, and Fiori di Prosecco for the D.O.C. labels, referred to the production territory that stretches from Veneto to Friuli Venezia Giulia.
